Spontaneous Order
Spontaneous Order describes the emergence of organized patterns without a single central force deliberately designing the final structure. In nature, complex order can arise when many individual parts interact according to relatively simple physical rules. Snowflakes develop elaborate symmetry as water molecules freeze, crystals organize themselves into repeating structures, and convection can produce regular patterns as heat moves through a fluid. Similar forms of self organization appear in chemistry, biology, ecosystems, and large scale physical systems.
Framing Note: Frames are selected by the artist and are included primarily to protect the artwork during handling and transit. Collectors are welcome to reframe the artwork after receipt according to their personal preference.
