“Trinity Prep art instructor’s exhibit features works on scientific subjects”

Trinity Preparatory School art instructor Whitney Wolf will exhibit recent works of art-about-science at the New York Arcade gallery here from May 7 through June 22. Located on the corner of Fairbanks and New York avenues, the exhibit, sponsored by the Orlando Science Center, will feature Wolf’s bronzes, canvases, and watercolors. Wolf has persistently explored problems of visualizing numerous atomic and quantum theories and principles., This new exhibit encapsulates the artist’s investigations into the physical theories of gravitational collapse, fractals, and anthropic principle and chaos, among others.

Whitney’s continual concern with the problem of measurement and his acceptance of the multi-dimensional nature of reality can be seen in each of his works. These concerns serve as forces that unify the body of work as a whole and as a starting point which to acquaint oneself with the discreet physical theories visualized through a variety of media.

An opening reception will be held for “Multiverse: at the gallery on Sunday, May 6, from 6 until 9pm.
